LANSING – State Representative Richard LeBlanc (D-Westland) today announced that Schoolcraft College will receive more than $5 million in state funding for construction of a new math, science and technology building on its Livonia campus.
"Schoolcraft College offers top-notch educational opportunities to many area residents, and I am thrilled that the state will be providing the school with funding to build a math, science and technology building," LeBlanc said. "Having a highly educated workforce is essential to making Michigan a magnet for the good-paying jobs of the future. Schoolcraft College is on the cutting edge with its high-tech programs. I applaud the college for continuing to expand its horizons and offer new opportunities to its students."
Schoolcraft College will receive $5,019,700 to help pay for a new 48,500-square-foot math, science and technology building. The entire cost of the project is $12.7 million.
